Hi! My name is Thorne. I'm a seventeen year-old high school senior from North Carolina. Project Niñez is my attempt to capture the essence of Belize, a country that has impacted me profoundly during my visits over the past five years. The project centers around a series of images taken in Belize as I spent some time over the past summer exploring the concept of boyhood (niñez) in the town of Hopkins.

All proceeds from the images will be donated to the Crossing, a business community in Hope Creek, Belize. Funded by Kidz Konnect 4 Jesus, the Crossing offers woodworking, sewing, and metalwork shops as well as a computer lab, cafe, and tutoring center. These resources are open to the Hope Creek community, encouraging vocational skills and fostering new passions for Belizean youth.
